Charlotte, NC (WBTV) – Katelyn Storey has had a successful start to her senior year at Salisbury High School.
Storey played a part in four of the five state titles the tennis team won, but she wasn't just a piece of the puzzle… she's a key component. A four time all state performer in singles and doubles, a three time state runner up and the top scorer for the Hornets in this year's championship win.
The Salisbury Hornet was named conference player of the year, Rowan County player of the year and, to top it all off, MVP of the state finals.
Storey said her collegiate career in tennis depends on where she goes; she's interested in Davidson, Carolina and William & Mary, just to name a few.
Known to the team as "K-Town," she said leaving is bittersweet but going out with 4 consecutive titles is the right way to do it.
