UNION COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

Four people were arrested for a string of residential break-ins dating back to September, according to the Union County Sheriff's Office.

The seven break-ins occurred in Union County from September to as recently as December 4, deputies said.

On Thursday, investigators recovered a cache of stolen property from an apartment on New Town Road being leased by one of the group that included a safe, televisions, a laptop, electronic tablets, jewelry, and guns. In addition, the investigators found a large quantity of pills and drug paraphernalia, the report states.

Dustin Kemp Medlin, 23, Anthony Blake Smith, 20, Kyle Christopher Sramek, 20, and Dene McDonald, 28, who was leasing the apartment on New Town Road, were all arrested in connection to the crimes.

Their charges range from breaking and entering and larceny to trafficking in opiates and probation violations. All four are due in court on February 12.

Investigators also said it appears the group is responsible for at least three break-ins in Lancaster, South Carolina. SC Detectives were notified, and are investigating the group.
