ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) -
Rock Hill Police are looking for two men caught on surveillance video stealing 15 Apple iPads from a local store.
The theft happened Sunday between 2 and 3 a.m. at the Walmart on Dave Lyle Boulevard. Officers responded to a call from the store's Loss Prevention Officer just before 4 p.m. the same day when the Officer was notified about the electronics display case being damaged, the report states.
When the Officer reviewed the surveillance video, he saw two males forcibly removing the sliding door of the case, and hiding the iPads in various areas around the display case. They then hid the 15 devices on their person and left the store after one bought a video game, police said.
The men on the surveillance video are described as black males, between 20 and 35 years old.
One man was wearing a red University of South Carolina hat and sweatshirt with blue jeans and white shoes. He possibly had a goatee, the report states.
The second man was wearing a black zip-up jacket, a white shirt with black letters, and a stud earring in his left ear with a white or colorless stone. The second man also had a goatee.
The men were seen in the parking lot in a silver or gray four-door sedan.
Anyone with information about the men or the theft should call the Rock Hill Police Department.
