No criminal charges will be filed against those who sold or provided alcohol to a 19-year-old Appalachian State University student who was found dead in September.
Tyler Blalock, of Charlotte, died from an accidental drowning in a creek after hitting his head on a rock in Boone's Durham Park, ASU Police determined in their investigation.
On Friday, the Watauga County District Attorney's Office told WBTV that they will not persue any criminal charges in regards to who served or sold alcohol to Blalock.
Their investigation determined that he was carrying a fake ID that closely resembled himself.
