Police say at least one person was killed when a car crashed into a motorcycle in northwest Charlotte early Friday morning.
Willis Larry Hill, 55, of Stanly, was killed after an SUV pulled out from Overlook Mountain Drive in front of his motorcycle, according to police.
Hill struck the right side of the SUV and was thrown to the ground from the impact. He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
The incident was reported just before 7 a.m. near Brookshire Boulevard and Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
The 16-year-old driving the Toyota SUV is charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
