Police: Man robbed restaurant, left woman tied up

Police in Charlotte say they have arrested a man who robbed a Charlotte-area restaurant and left a woman inside tied up.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, officers were originally called to 6851 Northlake Mall Drive in reference to an armed robbery from the Bravo Cucina Italiana Restaurant on Sunday, November 25.

When they arrived, officers found the manger of the business who advised that she had been robbed at gun point and then tied up and left in the restaurant.

She told officers that she was able to escape and call police.

During the course of their investigation, Robbery Unit Detectives identified 30-year-old Manuel Carranza, as a suspect in this case.

Carranza is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and 2nd degree kidnapping.
