A Blackwood Road resident has been charged with several break-ins and thefts in the neighborhood where he lives.

On December 4, around 7 a.m. deputies were investigating an attempted break-in to an occupied residence in the 7900 block of Water Oaks Drive.  The homeowner stated he heard someone at his bedroom window and went to investigate.

The suspect fled the scene but the homeowner was able to give officers a description of the suspect.  Deputies were also investigating another attempted break-in at Westport Marina around the same time but deputies noticed the suspect walking nearby.  He was located a short distance away and detained until Detective Calhoun arrived on the scene.

The suspect admitted to three Break-ins or Attempted Break-ins and two others that happened several days earlier.
• Between 11-30-2012 and 12-02-2012, the suspect broke into a home in the 7900 block of Blackwood Road and removed two TV's and several bottles of liquor.  One of the TV's was found broken nearby and the other was not found.
• A pistol was stolen from a pickup truck on 12-01-2012 in the 7800 block of Blackwood Road.  The pistol was found discarded in some leaves on the side of Blackwood Road.
• The suspect admitted to attempting to break-in the Westport Marina by kicking in the door frame.

The break-ins and attempted break-ins occurred at streets in the Blackwood Road area.

Keziah is being held on a $40,000 secured bond.

Additional charges could be filed in connection with the incidents.
