Bobcats announce more deals for Wednesday Night Basketball

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Bobcats Sports & Entertainment President & COO Fred Whitfield announced  a partnership between the Charlotte Bobcats, Charlotte Area Transit System, and participating EpiCentre venues for Wednesday Night Basketball game ticket holders.

Fans with tickets to any Wednesday night Bobcats game can ride round trip on LYNX light rail free of charge and receive food and activity specials at participating venues at EpiCentre. To receive any of the Wednesday night promotions, fans must present a valid Wednesday night game ticket.

In a special appearance for this Wednesday's game against the New York Knicks, the Voice of Champions, Michael Buffer, will introduce the Bobcats starting lineup.

One of the most recognized voices in the world of sports and entertainment, many of the biggest events in boxing begin with his trademark "Let's Get Ready To Rumble" call.

In addition to the free Wednesday night rides, the Bobcats will be featured on the LYNX light rail trains and buses around Uptown, complete with Wednesday Night Basketball logos, Lady Cats images and team colors.

Several EpiCentre venues have stepped up to offer Wednesday Night basketball fans special deals during the season. Venues including BlackFinn and Whisky River are waiving their cover charges or offering free appetizers with the purchase of an entrée.

Strike City will also offer a free appetizer with a minimum $25 food and beverage purchase, in addition to free bowling shoes with a purchase of a game. Vida is offering free appetizers and Suite will offer free admission with a valid game ticket.

At Time Warner Cable Arena, Wednesday Night Basketball will feature promotions including meet and greet opportunities with Bobcats players and NBA legends.

There will also be concession specials featuring bottomless popcorn and $4 beers. The Bobcats Team Store will also offer reduced prices on select items.
