BURLINGTON, KY (FOX19) -

A Kentucky man is now facing manslaughter charges five months after a fatal crash.

Jonathan Keeton, 29, of Salyersville, Ky., is in the Boone County Jail on charges of manslaughter, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and driving on a suspended license.

Police say Keeton was drunk when he caused a crash on Interstate 71/75 in July that killed Connie Sutherland, 31, also of Salyersville.

The crash happened on the northbound side, near the Walton exit, at 3 p.m. in the afternoon.

Police say the car was speeding and veered to both sides before sliding sideways off the road. The car struck a culvert, causing it to go airborne. It then rolled and threw both Keeton and Sutherland out of the car.
