Flu Season May Be Very Bad

Have you had your flu shot yet?  The flu season is off to its earliest start in nearly ten years and health officials say it could be a bad one.  Flu cases in five southern states have jumped and the primary strain circulating tends to make people sicker than other types.  We talk to Dr. Elizabeth Perry about the best thing you can do to keep from getting the flu.

Astrid Martinez has an all-new story for you this morning.  Some young undocumented people were afraid to come forward right before the presidential election.  But with a second term for President Obama, more dreamers are taking a chance…and applying for deferred deportation. 

Police in Charlotte searching for a missing man who they say may be in danger.  78-year-old Robert Lee Bowden was last seen driving on Lyttleton Drive in Southwest Charlotte.

State utility regulators and the North Carolina Attorney General have agreed to a settlement that ends investigations into Duke Energy, after its controversial merger with Progress Energy.
