Belk Awards $75,000 to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools

Thanks to Belk's "Rocking the Belk Bowl Contest," three Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will receive a total of $75,000 in technology grants.

The Contest, which kicked off in October, offered Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) the chance to win by creating educational and Belk Bowl-themed designs on school rocks or bulletin boards.

The winning schools listed below will each receive a $25,000 technology grant as well as an allotment of tickets to the 2012 Belk Bowl. Tickets for students at Reedy Creek Elementary School and Quail Hollow Middle School were provided by local sponsors Chiquita and Husqvarna.

These winners will also be featured on the Belk Bowl FanZone page, Belk's Facebook page, The View (Belk's internal publication) and during this year's Belk Bowl FanFest and game.
