Mexico's new leader will have to address the daunting challenges he will face in the next six years.
Enrique Peña Nieto was sworn in before Congress in Mexico City Saturday.
He vowed to restore peace and security and take on economic problems.
His election also marks the return to power of the Institutional Revolutionary Party.
That has resulted in hundreds of protesters -- some throwing fire bombs at police...during the swear-in yesterday.
Mexico's new leader said "We are a nation that is going at two different speeds one that is of progress and development and other is a Mexico that lives in poverty and abandonment."
Next week, Nieto will present to Congress plans to help unify command of anti-trafficking operations.
