The nations first black Greek fraternity celebrates its 106th anniversary Saturday.
More than 200 people showed up for the fraternity's founders day program on the campus of University of North Carolina Charlotte yesterday.
The speaker for the event was the president elect of the fraternity Mark Tillman.
The new elect made a statement saying "the investment that I'm asking my brothers to make as well as all men and women in our community is to invest in our kids future, because they're the ones that's gonna shape and decide what happens next."
President elect Tillman will be inaugurated next month.
He'll become the leader of more than 150-thousand members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.
