People in one Charlotte neighborhood got into the holiday spirit this weekend.
Business owners and neighbors in Plaza Midwood took their celebration to the streets Saturday.
Mayor Anthony Foxx kicked things off and he says this is a great example of how this community is moving forward.
Mayor Foxx said "it's a combination of creating more pedestrian friendly communities where there are business that are located are working with neighborhoods to improve the streetscapes, to improve the appearance of the community, to invite not only commerce, but families to come and be part of great community. That's what Plaza Midwood is doing."
The celebration is catching on and growing in size.
Organizers hosted a larger crowd than they did last year.
