Colquitt County's Aubrey McCarty is taking his versatile talents to the Southeastern Conference.
McCarty has signed to play at Vanderbilt University as a pitcher and first baseman.
But that is not all McCarty is versatile.
He can pitch either lefthanded or righthanded depending on the hitter.
McCarty won nine games last season for the Packers and would love to be the next Vandy pitcher taken in the first round of the baseball draft.
"Every Friday night starter has gone in the first round. That is good to know. I just want to go up there and do the best that I can. I know I am going to be able to learn from them because they are great coaches", said Aubrey McCarty.
McCarty is the third Colquitt County baseball player to sign a DI baseball scholarship in the last three years.
