Revaluation refunds? Not enough votes

Hello again friends, it's Paul Cameron in the WBTV newsroom.

Tonight at 11:00PM—they thought about revaluation refunds, but there weren't enough votes at the Mecklenburg County Commission meeting tonight to do a give back after an outside firm found the process flawed.  Commissioners did agree to have the county attorney look into a possible redo of all the 2011 property revaluations.  Our reporter David Spunt says they process could take 60 days or longer.  Stay tuned.

Didn't the DNC just pull out of town?  Apparently, the politicos liked the Queen City enough that the other side of the aisle took notice.  Republicans will hold their annual winter meetings in Charlotte after the first of the year.

With Black Friday and Cyber Monday behind us, it appears spending is up, consumer confidence is up and despite that pesky looming fiscal cliff, the economy is improving.  Tonight, Brigida Mack looks at what the past four days have meant for local businesses.
