A teenager was arrested Thursday in connection to a string of larcenies from a local business, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office.
The thefts began in early October and happened on five occasions through November 14 at Cook's Transmission on Twilight Road, the report states.
On Thursday, November 22, deputies on a routine patrol stopped to check the business around 10 p.m. and saw Altonio Demonte Huntley, 18, hiding behind a boat on the property. Huntley ran into a wooded area before being located by the deputies nearby.
Huntley was initially charged with trespassing, but after further investigation, he was charged with previous thefts at the business, deputies said.
He was charged with five counts of breaking and entering into an automobile and two counts of damaging or tampering with a vehicle for incidents that occurred on five different dates.
Huntley was taken to the Lancaster County Detention Center and placed under a $36,000 surety bond.
