Shankar Ehsaan Loy, India's leading music composers, has been roped in by Nescafe for their new commercial - "The Morning Band". This adds to a series of commercials by Purab Kohli and Deepika Padukone.
Mornings are always said to be the best part of the day, and Nescafe has always believed in striving to make your mornings better. Hence, when the concept of 'The Morning Band' took form, not many were surprised.
The Morning Band, as a concept, needs little explanation. It is a band that livens up your morning, just like the first cup of coffee. Since Deepika and Purab Kohli have been associated with the coffee major for quite some time now, it seemed only natural that they be the ones to introduce The Morning Band.
One fine morning, when Purab is barely awake in his apartment, in walks Deepika and she is not alone. She has guests who have arrived for the morning coffee. The guests are none other than Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy. The message is simple and effective: "why settle for your morning coffee when you can also have The Morning Band playing with it.
What happens next is musical bliss as Shankar Mahadevan and his band take the stage, right in Purab's living room, and set it on the proverbial fire. All this while, Deepika watches on.
