Police looking for suspect in Walgreens robbery

Gastonia Police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect captured on surveillance video in connection with the Nov. 23rd robbery of Walgreens, 2500 E. Franklin Blvd, Gastonia.

The suspect entered the store around 8:24 p.m. and went to the pharmacy area where he jumped the counter brandishing a small silver-colored revolver. No one was injured, but the suspect stole various controlled substances and fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5-feet-6 to 6-feet-tall, and weighing approximately 150-175 pounds. He was wearing what appears to be a gray pullover jacket, khaki pants and white and gray baseball cap.

Anyone with information to identify the suspect is asked to call Detective Mike Butts at (704) 854-6647, or Crime Stoppers of Gaston County at (704) 861-8000. Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
