Breaking News: Wreck Along I-77

We are following a BREAKING NEWS traffic alert right now.  Cam Man Ron Lee is at the scene of a wreck along I-77 and Gilead Road in Huntersville involving an overturned vehicle.  He's getting more details of what happened and we'll have that information for you on this morning's newscast.  Tonya Rivens will also have any information about backups and alternate routes in the First Alert Traffic Center.

We're keeping a very close eye on a wildfire west of Charlotte this morning. Firefighters in Caldwell County estimate it could be Tuesday before the wildfire is completely under control.  So far, it has burned 250 acres along Globe Mountain Road.

Charlotte City Council is going to be discussing an issue today that will impact all property owners...the possibility of a tax rate hike.

Police have identified the man killed in a shooting in East Charlotte this weekend.  We'll have more details.

A lot of folks will be returning home today from the Thanksgiving weekend.  Officials at Charlotte Douglas International Airport estimate 25-thousand passengers left and returned to the airport over the holiday.

Congress will be back in Washington today...and time is running out to reach a deal on the so-called Fiscal Cliff.  You'll hear what concessions a republican South Carolina Senator is willing to make...and what he's asking of democrats.
