CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - For a child in the hospital, a soft stuffed animal to cuddle with can sometimes make all the difference.
The Puppies for Patients campaign aims to get more plush puppies to more area patients and there is a simple way you can help them accomplish their goal.
When donors at the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas give blood, they can sign a gift tag that will be attached to a stuffed animal puppy and given to children at our area hospitals.
The giving is two-fold because at this time of year, with cold and flu season, there is an increased need for blood donations.
Jennifer Krupa with CBCC visited WBTV News Sunday Morning to talk about the campaign.
