MORGANTON, NC (NC) - For the first time in school history, the Freedom Patriots will play in the 3A Western Regional Finals.
At the start of the season, no one outside of Morganton would have thought this could happen especially coming off the disappointment of 2011.
This week, the Freedom Patriots are the FFN Overtime Spotlight team of the week.
Also in this edition, Nate Wimberly gives a shout out to South Iredell who is making their first ever appearance in the 2AA Western Regional Final.
He also sheds some light on Monroe and Statesville who are making their deepest run into the playoffs in a very long time.
