e-Builder Enterprise is helping PSFA track project costs and performance, implement standardized business processes, and simplify multiple funding source management for PSFA’s $300 million annual capital improvements program.
Ft. Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) November 21, 2012
e-Builder, the pioneer in fully integrated, cloud-based construction program management software, announced today that the New Mexico Public School Facilities Authority (PSFA) has launched e-Builder Enterprise™ as its new construction program management system. e-Builder will help PSFA track project costs, implement standardized business processes and create reports to track project performance. e-Builder Enterprise’s cost management capabilities will simplify the management of multiple funding sources and funding rules for its $300 million annual capital improvements program.
PSFA is a state agency based in Santa Fe that manages funds for public schools capital outlay. A large part of the funding comes from oil and gas tax revenues, but PSFA also partners with school districts that have their own funding sources, including general obligation bonds. Jeff Eaton, CFO at PSFA said, “Prior to having a robust system to work with, we found ourselves in situations where we were over-participating in terms of our match, and having to balance the books by either deduction through change orders or otherwise put some of the financial responsibility back onto the district.” e-Builder will help the state agency identify and manage different funding sources at every level of detail. The integrated reporting capabilities are customizable and will facilitate the generation of management reports that meet the needs of end users and the agency. “e-Builder will help us keep our funding sources and uses very clear all the way through the project cycle,” added Eaton.
In addition to cost controls, e-Builder Enterprise will help to uniformly apply business processes across the PSFA’s entire program. The e-Builder Professional Services team helped PSFA to scrutinize their processes (i.e., RFIs, Change Orders) and map existing best practices. Once these processes were defined, e-Builder helped systematize these best practices. “We now have more consistency in delivery of our projects. Whether we have turnover or need to move somebody to a new region, they know that their file system and processes are the same,” said Eaton.
