Police in Charlotte and the FBI are investigating a felony larceny from a Loomis armored car that was parked outside a SouthPark-area bank.
Officers were called to the Wells Fargo on Sharon Road at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The bank was not robbed.
Investigators say while the guard was unloading bags of money from the armored car, someone ran up from behind, grabbed a bag of money, and ran off with it toward Coltsgate Road.
The suspect was wearing a black hoodie and black pants and stood between 5'10" and 6'1".
There are no surveillance pictures available at this time.
