Holiday Forecast: Thanksgiving night, Black Friday morning

With stores opening even earlier this year, it's important to know the forecast throughout the evening hours of Thanksgiving.

If you're planning to stand outside one of the stores that opens in the middle of the night, you need to know how to dress to stay warm in the overnight hours.

WBTV Meteorologist Ashley Batey took a look at the hour-by-hour forecast and says the major times for shoppers to be aware of are as follows:

Thursday at 8 p.m. This is when several stores open. Ashley says it will be mostly clear and cool. Highs throughout the day will be in the mid 60s, but will fall to near 50 after the sun goes down.

Thursday at 9 p.m. Just one hour later, and temperatures will have already dropped to the upper 40s.

Black Friday/Midnight The wind is calm, but temperatures are still dropping. Near 40 degrees at this point, so bundle up.

Friday at 5 a.m. Temperatures have dropped to the upper 30s. It's cold and you will need your jacket, scarves, gloves - whatever you usually wear during the winter.

Friday overall will be sunny, so temperatures will warm up to the mid to upper 60s in the afternoon.
