Police in Lenoir are investigating an overnight shooting that put a man in the hospital with several gunshot wounds to the back.
Officers were called to the 200 block of Greenhaven Drive just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found 25-year-old Colin Taylor of Lenoir.
Taylor had been shot in the back several times with a .22 caliber gun.
Caldwell County EMS responded and Taylor was flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte for surgery. His condition is unknown at this time - he is not listed in the hospital system.
