Man accused of stealing checks, using them at bank

STATESVILLE, NC (WBTV) -

The Iredell County Sheriff's Office received a report about stolen checks. After investigating, a 22-year-old man was arrested.

The victim told deputies Aaron Honeycutt, 22, of Mooresville, stole two checks and passed one of them at a Bank of America in Iredell County.

Investigators found the check that was passed had been written out to Aaron Honeycutt, in the amount of $135.

Detectives received pictures and videos from the bank, which showed Honeycutt passing the check.

The victim identified the suspect, and officers arrested Honeycutt. He was charged with Larceny and Obtaining Property by False Pretense.
