LANCASTER COUNTY, SC (WBTV) -
Deputies in Lancaster were called to a home in Heath Springs Friday night with the report of a shooting.
A man at the home on Mt. Carmel Road stated that an unknown man knocked on his door and said his vehicle was broken down.
The victim could see a dark-colored SUV near the road with its hazard lights flashing.
He told deputies he went into the yard and four men dressed in black came out of the bushes and jumped him. He said they asked for money.
Someone fired a shot, and the victim ran to a neighbor's home.
The victim was taken to the local hospital. He is expected to be OK.
Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene.
