CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
A disturbance moving in overnight could bring showers to the area, and below freezing temperatures could bring icy conditions in the higher elevations.
Rain will begin falling after midnight, but temperatures in the Piedmont will not drop enough for winter precipitation to form. The same will be true for the Foothills, but a few areas in the mountains could briefly see a wintry mix in the very late night or early morning hours.
The greater danger is that liquid precipitation will fall, then freeze on bridges and overpasses before and shortly after sunrise tomorrow morning. Use caution tomorrow morning.
