Salisbury, NC (WBTV) – The Salisbury Hornets had all eyes on them as they competed for the 1-A/2-A women's golf title at the Foxfire Resort in late October.
The attention didn't faze them as they won the 2012 NCHSAA State championship by 60 strokes, a whole 27 better than last year.
The Hornets were not only defending a team title, but an individual one as well.
Isabella Rusher swept the competition for the second consecutive year. The sophomore was the only competitor to shoot a par round the entire tournament, sealing the win.
Her goal is to win the team and individual title all four years of her high school career. She's well on her way with win number 2 in the books.
A lot of pressure for a high school student, but she's getting used to dealing with it, a benefit for her next two years of competition.
