Yadkinville Police concluded a manhunt Friday afternoon for two individuals that originated from a vehicle stop at the intersection of Virginia Drive and Progress Lane in Yadkinville.
Just before noon, officers stopped a vehicle occupied by three persons. Two of those individuals ran from the vehicle, one occupant was detained on scene. A second suspect was taken into custody a short time later on Cedar Street. The third suspect was taken into custody on Cross Creek Drive around 4:30pm after an intensive ground and air search of the neighborhood.
Two additional suspects were taken into custody without incident around 3:30pm at the Four Brothers BP located at US 601 and Beroth Street in Yadkinville.
Yadkinville Police received numerous calls from good citizens providing information, assisting in the swift apprehension of two suspects.
All five suspects were turned over to the Winston-Salem Police Department Friday night regarding an ongoing bank robbery investigation originating from their jurisdiction. Charles Ronnell Williams, Alton T Sims, Tyrone Thomas Woods and Darrick Damone Legardy, all of Los Angeles, Calif., have been charged by WSPD in connection with that investigation.
The Yadkinville Police Department was assisted by the NCSHP Troopers and Air Wing, Yadkin County Sheriff's Office, Davie County Sheriff's Office, NC Community Corrections, NCSBI and the Yadkinville Fire Department.
