CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
Police say a man has been arrested in connection to an apparent robbery where a bystander was shot.
The incident happened at a northwest Charlotte gas station early Friday morning around 5:15 when police got a call stating a person was shot at the Raceway Gas station located at 2815 Brookshire Boulevard.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say the victim was standing in the parking lot as another person was being robbed. The victim was taken to the hospital after being grazed by a bullet, police say.
The victim is expected to be okay.
Anthony Lamont Ford, 24, was arrested in connection to the case, CMPD told WBTV. He was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, resisting a public officer, and several drug charges.
The gas station was closed for about an hour but reopened after police left the scene.
