NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Police are looking into allegations that an elementary school principal used martial arts techniques to keep students in line.
It all stems around the principal at Churchwell School, who allegedly took a student into an empty room and disciplined the student by using pressure point techniques under the arm to cause pain.
The alleged incident was witnessed by a number of school staff members.
Using pressure points is a martial arts technique meant to subdue an opponent. It can be dangerous and sometimes lethal, but the condition of the students involved is not known.
Metro police say they are looking into the allegations but cannot comment on the ongoing investigation.
