Police trying to ID suspects in string of robberies


The Kannapolis Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying men responsible for committing a series of robberies in the City of Kannapolis.

On November 1, officers responded to three separate robberies at three businesses.

The first robbery occurred at the Express Mart on North Main Street around 2:30 p.m. At approximately 4:30 p.m., the Shoe Show on North Cannon Boulevard was robbed. A firearm was displayed in both of the robberies, and an undisclosed amount of money was taken, the report states.

The suspect and weapon described in both robberies were similar, police say.

He is described as a black male with short hair, wearing dark clothing with some type of face paint.

The third robbery happened around 10:50 p.m. at the Rushco #1 on North Cannon Boulevard. The suspect in this robbery was described as a white male in his 50's, between 5'6" and 5'10", wearing a camouflage jacket, blue jeans and an orange hat.

The man in the responsible for the third robbery was caught on the store's surveillance cameras.

A reward is available for anyone providing information that leads to the arrest and conviction of either suspect.
