HICKORY GROVE, SC (WBTV) -
The school has always been a hot spot for multiples, but this year Hickory Grove-Sharon Elementary boasted 12 sets of twins in Kindergarten through 6th grade. One set just left last week says Principal Dietrich Long.
"I did think it was unusual for us for our small school to have so many sets of twins and for so many of them to be from here," said Long.
The school only has about 400 students, and 22 of them are one of a pair.
While not unheard of, the incidence of so many multiples in one small school is quite rare.
