The Caldwell County Sheriff's SWAT Team and Ice Unit executed a drug bust on Halloween, netting four arrests in the Sawmills community.
Investigators clad in SWAT uniforms and tactical vests swarmed the home on Leah Drive. With a drug search warrant in hand, officers made their way inside the home.
The search warrant came after several months of investigation. Ice agents say they have made several purchases of illegal prescription pills and marijuana from the home during the investigation.
Officials say more than 50 prescription pills and several grams of high grade marijuana was seized. The drugs have a street value of more than $1,000 according to North Carolina State guidelines.
"We take an aggressive stance against pill pushers in our county. Prescription pill abuse is probably the biggest drug problem we are seeing right now. This should serve as a warning," said Sheriff Alan C. Jones.
