CALDWELL COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

The Caldwell County Sheriff's SWAT Team and Ice Unit executed a drug bust on Halloween, netting four arrests in the Sawmills community.

Investigators clad in SWAT uniforms and tactical vests swarmed the home on Leah Drive. With a drug search warrant in hand, officers made their way inside the home.

The search warrant came after several months of investigation. Ice agents say they have made several purchases of illegal prescription pills and marijuana from the home during the investigation.

Officials say more than 50 prescription pills and several grams of high grade marijuana was seized. The drugs have a street value of more than $1,000 according to North Carolina State guidelines.

"We take an aggressive stance against pill pushers in our county.  Prescription pill abuse is probably the biggest drug problem we are seeing right now.  This should serve as a warning," said Sheriff Alan C. Jones.

Rex Lee Carson, 43, and Brenda Sue Nelson Bolen, 49, were each charged with:

  • Felonious Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Oxycodone
  • Felonious Maintain a Dwelling to Keep/Store Controlled Substances

Carson and Bolen are behind bars in the Caldwell County Detention Center, under $20,000 secured bond each. Their first court date was Thursday.

Chasity Dawn Blevins, 22, and Christopher Kelly Jones, 30, also live at the home and were arrested on outstanding warrants.

Blevins is charged with failure to comply-nonsupport. She was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $600 cash bond with a court date of November 9.

Jones was arrested on failure to appear-larceny. He was placed behind bars under a $2,500 secured bond with a court date of November 27.
