SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -
The Rowan County Sheriff's Office has confirmed the name of a man found hanging in a tree off Stokes Ferry Road last week.
You may remember, during the investigation last week, the Sheriff's Office told WBTV it was "99% sure" the victim was 25-year-old Bryan Eugene Merrill (read here).
It is now certain Merrill was the body found. He had been living on Wyatt's Grove Church Road, which is near the crime scene.
It is believed Merrill died in early January of 2012. Investigators do not suspect foul play.
