Charlotte, NC (WBTV)- Tough news on the high school scene for one of our local athletes. Mallard Creek senior wide receiver Marquez North is going to miss the rest of the season set to have surgery on his injured shoulder.
North is one of the most recruited athletes in the Carolinas. He's already visited Florida and Tennessee. Also in the recruiting hunt is North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan and Notre Dame just to name a few.
Tough loss for Mallard Creek but they still have plenty of talent as they get set for the final week of the high school football regular season Friday night at Hough High School.
