STATESVILLE, NC (WBTV) - Deputies arrested a Mooresville woman earlier this month after they say she has been passing fake checks at local Food Lion grocery stores.
Kedi Harvell, 26, of Mooresville, is charged with forgery of an instrument and one cout of obtaining property by false pretense, according to a news release from the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say Harvell had been cashing fake checks at Food Lions in the county, Statesville and Troutman.
At one location, she cashed a fake check for $390.43, according to the release.
Deputies used information one of the store clerk's had taken down from Harbell's driver license and surveillance video to obtain warrants for her arrest.
Harvell was placed under a $4,000 secured bond.
