CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Federal court documents show the local man implicated in an international counterfeit air bag ring is expected to plead guilty.

Igor Borodin is accused of buying and selling more than 7,000 counterfeit air bags. Federal agents raided his Indian Trail home in August.

Borodin has been behind bars since his arrest following that raid.

Last week, the government warned consumers about counterfeit air bags. Borodin was implicated in that warning.

Borodin is expected to appear in front of a judge Monday morning, where paperwork shows he will plead guilty.
