NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) -
Bond has been raised for a woman accused of murdering her boyfriend.
Shayna Hubers is currently being held at the Campbell County Detention Center. Her bond increased Wednesday morning to $5 million.
Hubers' attorney, Wil Zevely, tells FOX19 that the bond was raised overnight and he has no idea why.
Hubers is facing a murder charge in the death of her boyfriend, Ryan Poston, 29, a Cincinnati attorney. She was being held on a $2 million bond after her arrest.
Authorities responded to a residence in Highland Heights on Friday night and found Poston suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. A motive for the shooting has not been released.
Poston's family released another statement on Wednesday morning saying that any claims of self-defense by Hubers are 'absurd.'
A hearing will be at 9 a.m. in Campbell County Court.
