LINCOLNTON, NC (WBTV) -

A Lincoln County woman says she was robbed at gunpoint in her residence early Saturday morning.

Virginia Ruth Stamey told deputies she contacted a black male, known only as Zeek, around 11:00 p.m. Friday about several items including a Play Station 3 that he wanted to sell.

The suspect and another black male came to her residence in the 2500 block of Clayton Lane, Maiden and the suspect asked her if she had the money.  She told officers she pulled $1,000 out of her pocket and showed it to him.  The suspect then pulled out a pistol, put it to her head, took the money and left the residence.

He is described as six feet tall, muscular build, short hair and a broken front tooth.  The victim told deputies she believes the man lives in the Hickory area.
Investigation into the incident is continuing.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at 704-732-9050 or Crime Stoppers at 704-736-8909.
