Deputies arrest Lancaster man in weekend shooting


A Lancaster man was arrested Monday morning after police say he shot another man in the leg over the weekend.

Kentavious Stefan Mills, 22, of Lancaster, is charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, unlawful carry of a pistol, possession of a firearm during a violent crime, pointing a firearm at a person and possession of powdered cocaine, according to a news release from the Lancaster Police Department.

Police say Mills shot 23-year-old Byron Lamont Miller in the leg on Saturday evening along the 700 block of St. Paul Street.

Miller was treated and released for his injury at Springs Memorial Hospital.
