Police: Two teens and juvenile arrested for robbery, kidnapping

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Two teens and a juvenile were arrested for their involvement in an armed robbery and kidnapping that took place in early October, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

On October 10, three men approached a woman in the 5000 block of Executive Center Drive. The men forced the victim into her vehicle and drove to an ATM at the 6400 block of Albemarle Road, deputies said.

Once the men withdrew funds from the victim's account, they then drove to an apartment complex, where they ran from the vehicle, the report states.

The victim was not injured.

One of the men was caught on camera during the incident.

Detectives with the CMPD Robbery Unit received information that led to the arrest of three men on October 17, police said.

Jashari Billups, 16, Joshua Lowery, 16, and an unnamed juvenile, were all charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, second degree and conspiracy to commit second degree kidnapping, and first degree and conspiracy to commit first degree sex offense.

Billups is facing additional charges for a separate armed robbery that happened on Canterwood Drive, police told WBTV.
