Neighbors arrested after stealing man's toolbox, police say

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Two Charlotte men were arrested after police say they broke into their neighbor's house and stole his toolbox.

Marcus Shane Humphries, 31, and Sohrab King, 36, are charged with breaking and entering with force, larceny and possession of stolen goods, according to a news release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Police arrived on the 200 block of Wyanoke Avenue around 3 a.m. on Oct. 4th where the victim told them he arrived home to find the door open and his toolbox missing. He also told police he saw two men walking down 7th Street with a similar toolbox to his.

Officers located the two men, who live across the street from the victim. Both were taken into custody.

The stolen property was recovered.
