Motorcyclist involved in crash succumbs to injuries

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A motorcyclist died at the hospital after he was involved in a vehicle crash on Sept. 29.

James Walker, 42, was pronounced dead at Carolinas Medical Center as a result of his injuries, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Walker was riding motorcycles with Ervin Lee Johns, 49, on the 2100 block of Rozzelles Ferry Road at a high rate of speed when they lost control.

Both motorcycles fell on their sides and slid for over 200 feet ejecting both riders, according to the report.

Johns remains in serious condition at CMC.
