CROP Walk to benefit charities which fight hunger

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Dozens of local church congregations will gather in Charlotte on Sunday, October 14, for the annual CROP Walk.  It begins on Elizabeth Avenue.

The CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local congregations or groups to raise money to end hunger.

Barbara Thomas from Church World Services visited WBTV News Sunday Morning to talk about this year's walk and how the money raised will be used to fight hunger.
