YORK, SC (WBTV) -

A York County Sheriff's Deputy arrested a woman after a family argument turned into a physical fight.

Armanda Bruce, 23, is charged with second-degree Assault and Battery. She's accused of hitting her mom's boyfriend in the head with a metal pull-up exercise bar.

This all started Sunday evening at a home on Hands Mill Highway, off Highway 49, in York. The report from the Sheriff's Office shows Armanda Bruce, her boyfriend Dwight Durham (25), her mom Rosa McClure (46), and her mom's boyfriend Marcus Stanford (41) all live at the home on Hands Mills Highway. A teenager, James Bruce, 16, also lives at the home. He is listed as a witness.

When investigators arrived at the home, Stanford told them A. Bruce was arguing with her mom McClure. He says Durham stepped toward McClure, so he confronted Durham. Stanford said he and Durham found, and he was hit in the head.

McClure told investigators she and her daughter were arguing when Stanford and Durham started to argue. She says her daughter, A. Bruce, hit Stanford in the head with a metal pull-up exercise bar.

There were two witnesses at the home. James Bruce told investigators he was trying to separate A. Bruce and McClure. He also stated he saw A. Bruce hit Stanford in the head with the pull-up bar. A second witness, Haley Rafferty, 15, told investigators she observed A. Bruce hit Stanford in the head with the exercise bar.

Medic treated Marcus Stanford for a cut above his left eye. He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville.

A. Bruce and Durham were not at the home when investigators arrived. Deputies say A. Bruce called the York County Sheriff's Office a short time later seeking an escort to take her to the house and get her stuff. When deputies met her at a nearby intersection, A. Bruce was arrested for Assault and Battery.

Deputies say A. Bruce told them Stanford was choking Durham, so Durham punched Stanford to get away. She said she did not hit Stanford. Deputies say Durham told them he woke up and heard the women arguing, so he went to check on them. He told deputies Stanford started to yell at him, then choke him. Durham said he punched Stanford to get away.

A. Bruce was taken to the York County Detention Center and booked on second-degree Assault and Battery.

Investigators say no drugs or alcohol were involved.
