The teenager wanted in connection with an incident on Lee Road that led to a lockdown for four schools in northeast Richland County has been taken into custody without incident.
According to Curtis Wilson with the Richland County Sheriff's Department, deputies asked that Rice Creek Elementary School, Sandlapper Elementary School, Blythewood Middle School, and Ridgeview High School be put on a modified lockdown.
The search stems from an incident in the 300 block of Lee Road, where officials say a teenager got into an argument with his grandparents and ran off with a weapon, possibly a shotgun, into a nearby wooded area.
The teen remains unidentified. Deputy Wilson said the teen is charged with unlawful carry.
