Peanut Butter recall expanded, at least 30 illnesses traced to outbreak

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Some of the country's largest grocery stores are pulling some store-brand products of their shelves, because of a recall of peanut butter than has expanded to other nut products.

New Mexico company Sunland is expanding its recall of peanut butter and almond butter. The recall now includes cashew butters, tahini, and blanched and roasted peanut products.

Federal health officials say there have been 30 salmonella illnesses in 19 states can be traced to the Trader Joe's peanut butter.
